John J. Driscoll focuses his practice on businesses with intellectual property assets. His clients include fashion, fragrance, software, and media companies. Many of his clients are non-U.S. companies setting up operations in the U.S., and he advises them on all aspects of their business operations in the U.S. and abroad, including trademark prosecution and protection, copyright issues, licensing, international operations, sourcing, new ventures, retail operations, employment, finance, and trade matters. Mr. Driscoll's clients include French, Spanish, German, British, and Turkish companies doing business in the U.S. His experience also includes corporate and securities transactions, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, hedge funds, and international business transactions.

Representative Matters

• Represented American and European fashion designers in licensing transactions for apparel, housewares, and fragrance products

• Structured program for creation of boutiques in the People's Republic of China for an American designer

• Negotiated employment contracts for American designers and executives to work for major French and Italian fashion companies

• Advised a chain of retail stores selling clothing manufactured in Turkey in all aspects of their expansion into the United States

• Organized a venture to create and market an urban brand
